where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites.&#8221;<\/em><br>\u2014 Judges 6:11<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udfc6 Gideon was not seeking fame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc68\u200d\ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83d\udc67 He was faithfully doing what he could to protect his family from the enemy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2764\ufe0f He carried a sense of responsibility and concern for those around him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\ude1f Yet beneath that responsibility lay fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He lacked the confidence to challenge the Midianites and deliver Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He saw himself as weak and insignificant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\udd32 And that is precisely where God met him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udc40 Gideon&#8217;s Perspective vs. God&#8217;s Perspective<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gideon honestly confessed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;But Lord, how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.&#8221;<\/em><br>\u2014 Judges 6:15<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Gideon&#8217;s point of view, he was:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u274c Weak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u274c Insignificant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u274c Unqualified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But heaven saw something entirely different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.&#8221;<\/em><br>\u2014 Judges 6:12<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice the contrast:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\ude1f Gideon saw weakness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2694\ufe0f God saw a warrior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcc9 Gideon saw limitations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc51 God saw potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\ude28 Gideon saw himself according to his fears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2728 God saw him according to His calling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\ude4b My Own Struggles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many times, I have felt the same way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;Lord, I am not capable enough. I don&#8217;t have the talents that others possess.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yet, time and again, the Lord has chosen weak vessels like me and opened doors that I could never have imagined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udeaa His grace has carried me farther than my abilities ever could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps you also feel inadequate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps you think you have nothing to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2764\ufe0f Do not lose hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2728 The Lord Jesus specializes in using ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd25 The Burden in Gideon&#8217;s Heart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the Lord appeared to Gideon, his first response was not excitement about himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc65 It was concern for his people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;If the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all His wonders that our ancestors told us about?&#8221;<\/em><br>\u2014 Judges 6:13<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice what filled Gideon&#8217;s heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u274c &#8220;Why am I suffering?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 &#8220;Why are my people suffering?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddf1 He carried a burden for Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc94 His heart ached for the condition of his nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2764\ufe0f And I believe this burden greatly mattered to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\ude4f A Personal Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I remember one occasion when I was praying in the house of one of my relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\ude4f As I prayed, the presence of the Lord suddenly filled the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2764\ufe0f I sensed the loving and compassionate presence of Jesus in a very real way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd25 His presence rested upon me heavily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udfb5 For nearly three days my heart overflowed with worship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udfb6 Songs that I had not sung for years came to my lips effortlessly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It remains one of the precious spiritual experiences the Lord has graciously allowed me to have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yet when I compare my experience with Gideon&#8217;s, something stands out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc65 Gideon first spoke about his people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc94 His concern was not personal comfort but national deliverance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His burden for others poured out immediately from his heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd0e What Is God Looking For Today?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I believe the Lord is still searching for people like Gideon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u274c Not necessarily the strongest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u274c Not necessarily the most talented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u274c Not necessarily the most confident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2764\ufe0f People who carry burdens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83e\udd1d People who care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\ude4f People who pray for their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc68\u200d\ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83d\udc67 People who intercede for their relatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udf0d People who weep for their nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f People who are concerned about perishing souls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udcaa Take Courage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps you think you are weak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\ude14 Perhaps you feel unnoticed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps you wonder whether God can ever use someone like you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take courage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The God who called a fearful young man hiding in a winepress and called him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Mighty warrior!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">is still calling people today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2764\ufe0f He is looking for hearts that care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\ude4f He is looking for men and women who will stand in the gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc64 He may be looking for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfba The Cry of Victory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And perhaps, like Gideon, one day the cry of victory will rise from your life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2694\ufe0f For when God joins Himself to a weak but willing vessel,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2728 impossible victories become
