🌿 A Question That Troubled My Heart

For nearly ten years, I went through severe trials, shame, and emotional pain because of difficulties in my life.

⛓️ Even after seeking God’s guidance, I found myself trapped in circumstances that often felt like a prison.

Only a few years ago, by the grace of God, I narrowly escaped that “prison-like” life.

Throughout those years, one question silently troubled me:

“Lord, why did this happen to me? I was careful. I prayed. I sought Your will. Why?”

💔 Though this question shook my faith, I never openly asked the Lord.

📖 Instead, I continued my regular Bible reading and prayer.

Then one day, while reading Psalm 66:10-12, I felt the Lord gently speaking to my heart.

✨ God was not destroying me—He was refining me.

🔥 God Was Using the Fire to Sanctify Me

There was a particular weakness that had held me captive for several years.

⛓️ I fought against it repeatedly.

🙏 I fasted.

🙏 I prayed.

😢 I cried before God.

📌 I made countless resolutions.

Sometimes I would live victoriously for months, only to suddenly fall again.

❤️ Though I loved the Lord and desired to live a holy life, I found myself powerless whenever those desires resurfaced.

😔 The cycle of guilt and failure continued for years.

🙏 The Turning Point Came Through Suffering

As my family problems reached their peak, I began spending long hours—days and nights—in prayer.

💧 I poured out my heart before God.

Slowly, something started changing inside me.

🔓 Without realizing it, the power that this weakness once had over me began to weaken.

🌅 The desires that once controlled me became easier to resist.

Even today, moments of loneliness sometimes bring those temptations back.

But unlike before, I no longer feel helpless.

📖 Through prayer and the Word of God, I now experience strength to resist.

🤲 What I could never accomplish through my own efforts, God was accomplishing by His grace.

✨ “By the Grace of God I Am What I Am”

“But by the grace of God I am what I am…”

These words have become precious to me.

❌ It was not my strength.

❌ It was not my discipline.

❌ It was not my determination.

✅ It was the grace of God.

❤️ His grace did not leave me where I was.

⚔️ His grace empowered me to fight.

🤲 His grace strengthened me when I was weak.

🏆 His grace gave me victory over what had defeated me for decades.

⚠️ Grace Is Not a License to Sin

Recently, I heard a message suggesting that because we are under grace, we can live however we want.

But dear brothers and sisters, I want to lovingly say this:

❌ Grace is not a license to sin.

🏃 Grace is God’s power that enables us to flee from sin.

🔓 Grace is not permission to continue in bondage.

💪 Grace is the strength that brings us into freedom.

❌ Grace is not an excuse to play with sin.

✨ It is God’s power that leads us from slavery to victory, from shame to joy, and from defeat to a life that glorifies Jesus Christ.

🌈 From Fire and Water to a Place of Abundance

Looking back, I still do not understand every reason why God allowed those painful years.

But one thing I know:

❤️ He never abandoned me.

🔥 Through fire and water, He refined me like silver.

🌊 Through suffering, He taught me dependence upon Him.

✨ Through weakness, He revealed the power of His grace.

😢 Through years of tears, He brought me closer to Himself.

🌿 And ultimately, He brought me to a place of abundance.

❤️ A Word for Those Who Are Struggling

Perhaps you are fighting a battle that has followed you for many years.

😔 Perhaps you have prayed and failed so many times that you wonder whether victory is even possible.

❤️ Do not lose hope.

🔥 The God who refined silver in the fire is still at work.

📖 Stay in His Word.

🙏 Stay in prayer.

⏳ Trust His timing.

🤲 What you cannot overcome by your own strength, His grace can accomplish.
