🏠 The Lord Will Indeed Give What Is Good

A Personal Testimony on God’s Guidance and Provision

“The Lord will indeed give what is good.” — Psalm 85:12

“The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest.”
Psalm 85:12

Sometimes God does not say “No.”

Sometimes He says “Wait.”

And sometimes what feels like a delay is actually His protection.

This is our testimony of how the Lord faithfully guided us through one of the most uncertain seasons of our lives.

🌧️ An Unexpected Season of Change

A few months ago, due to unforeseen circumstances in our lives, we had to leave our own home in our hometown and stay temporarily with our relatives for several months.

While we were grateful for their support and kindness, our hearts longed for a place we could call home again.

At the same time, we urgently needed to find a rented house in a metropolitan city.

Thus began a journey that tested our patience, faith, and endurance.

🚗 Two Months of Searching

For almost two months, every weekend became a house-hunting mission.

🏠 House after house…

🚶 Street after street…

📍 Area after area…

We visited what felt like hundreds of houses.

Some were too expensive.

Some were unsuitable.

Some were unavailable.

Others simply did not bring peace in our hearts.

Along with the searching came prayers, tears, and countless conversations with the Lord.

Yet despite all our efforts, every door remained closed.

At times we wondered:

“Lord, why are You not opening a way for us?”

But God was working behind the scenes in ways we could not yet see.

❌ The House That Almost Happened

Eventually, we found a house that seemed suitable.

Everything looked promising.

We were even preparing the advance payment.

Just then, one of our relatives informed us about another multi-level apartment that appeared to be an even better option.

After careful consideration, we decided to cancel the first arrangement and wait for this new opportunity.

Days turned into weeks.

Weeks turned into disappointment.

Finally, we received the news:

❌ The owners were no longer willing to rent the house.

Our hopes came crashing down once again.

😔 When Discouragement Takes Over

By then we were exhausted.

Emotionally drained.

Physically tired.

Spiritually discouraged.

After months of uncertainty, we seriously considered returning to our hometown and somehow managing our difficult circumstances there.

Humanly speaking, we had reached the end of our strength.

🙏 A Promise from God

One day, while carrying all these worries in prayer, I cried out to the Lord for guidance.

In that moment of desperation, God gently brought this verse to my heart:

“The Lord will indeed give what is good.”
Psalm 85:12

It felt as though the Lord Himself was speaking directly into our situation.

Those words filled our hearts with peace.

God was asking us not to give up.

He was asking us to trust Him one more time.

🔍 One Final Attempt

Encouraged by God’s promise, we decided to search one final time.

During this last effort, we found a house that initially seemed quite suitable.

Before making any commitment, however, we decided to speak with some neighbours in the area.

Their response surprised us.

⚠️ During the rainy season, the locality experienced severe water stagnation.

⚠️ Roads would remain flooded for months.

⚠️ Residents had struggled with the problem for years.

⚠️ Even government authorities had been unable to provide a permanent solution.

At that moment, we realized something important:

God had not delayed us.

God had protected us.

What looked like a missed opportunity was actually divine protection.

🏡 The House We Almost Ignored

There was one house that remained at the very bottom of our list.

In fact, we had nearly removed it completely.

We had heard that the area might also experience water stagnation problems.

Still, we decided:

“Let us just visit it once.”

Sometimes God’s blessings are found in the places we least expect.

✨ The Peace of God Was There

The moment we entered the house, something felt different.

There was peace.

There was comfort.

There was assurance.

Most importantly, I could clearly sense the presence of the Lord.

That very same day we met the owner.

Everything moved smoothly.

Without delay, we finalized the house for rent.

The long season of waiting had finally come to an end.

💖 God’s Goodness Confirmed

Since moving into this house, many visitors have said:

🗣️ “God has truly given you a beautiful home.”

But more important than the building itself is the peace we experience within it.

This house has become more than just a place to stay.

It has become a place filled with God’s peace and presence.

Several servants of God have visited and stayed in our home, and each visit reminded us once again:

🏠 The Lord Himself dwells among His people.

🌿 Looking Back, We Understand

Today we can clearly see what we could not understand during the waiting season.

God was not ignoring our prayers.

God was not delaying our blessings.

God was preparing something better.

Every closed door…

Every cancelled agreement…

Every disappointment…

Every delay…

All of it was part of His loving guidance.

✝️ A Message for Everyone Who Is Waiting

Perhaps you are also waiting for God to answer a prayer.

📌 A job opportunity.

📌 A marriage proposal.

📌 A house.

📌 Healing.

📌 Financial provision.

📌 Direction for your future.

Do not give up.

Do not lose heart.

Keep seeking the Lord.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

God sees what we cannot see.

He knows what is truly good for His children.

And at the right time, He will open the right door.

📖 His Promise Still Stands

“The Lord will indeed give what is good.”
Psalm 85:12

His timing is perfect.

His plans are good.

His guidance never fails.

🙌 All Glory Belongs to Jesus

Today, with grateful hearts, we say:

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your faithfulness.

Thank You for protecting us from wrong decisions.

Thank You for guiding our steps.

Thank You for providing a home filled with Your peace and presence.

All glory, honour, and praise belong to our Lord Jesus Christ alone.

Amen. 🙏
